Terms of Service
Last updated: July 25, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Traders Till application at app.traderstill.com (the "Service"), operated by Bright Beans Media, LLC, doing business as Traders Till ("Traders Till," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms cover the application. Use of the traderstill.com marketing site is covered by the Terms of Use posted there.
1. What Traders Till is
Traders Till is software for home-scale producers. You use it to track inventory, recipes, costs, sales, and profitability across the channels you sell through, such as a farm stand, a farmers market, an online storefront, or wholesale.
Each account represents one person or business running one operation. You may sell through as many channels as you like from inside that account.
Traders Till is a record-keeping and selling tool. It is not an accountant, a lawyer, or a food-safety regulator, and nothing in the Service is legal, tax, or regulatory advice.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract.
You agree to give accurate sign-up information, keep your password secure, and not share your login with people who should not have access to your records. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
3. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the legal, tax, licensing, and food-safety compliance of your own operation. That includes cottage-food rules, egg and dairy rules, nursery licensing, sales-tax registration, and anything else that applies where you operate.
- You are responsible for what you sell and for the accuracy of what you tell your buyers, including allergen and ingredient information.
- You will not use the Service for anything illegal where you operate, and you will not list items covered by our Prohibited Items Policy.
- You will not attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the Service, and you will not resell or sublicense access to it.
4. License to use the Service
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own operation, subject to these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
5. Plans and pricing
Traders Till has four plans.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Founder monthly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | not applicable |
| Sprout | $15 | $144 | $5 |
| Bloom | $40 | $384 | $30 |
| Harvest | $95 | $912 | $75 |
Free includes up to 50 recorded sales per month and up to 3 custom ventures. Paid plans remove those limits and add the features described on the pricing page. Free stays free. It does not require a card and does not expire.
Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added where required and is calculated at checkout.
6. Founder pricing
The first 100 paid subscribers, counted across all paid plans combined, get the founder rate for their plan.
The founder rate is tied to continuous payment. You keep it for as long as your paid subscription stays active without a break, even if standard prices rise later. If your subscription lapses, is cancelled, or fails to pay and is not restored, you lose the founder rate permanently and return to the standard rate for your plan.
Once 100 paid subscribers have joined, the founder cohort closes for good.
If you change plans while in the founder cohort, you get the founder rate for your new plan, not your old one.
7. Billing
Paid plans renew automatically, monthly or annually depending on what you chose, until you cancel. We charge the payment method on file at the start of each period.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Upgrades take effect immediately. We charge the prorated difference for the rest of the current period.
Downgrades take effect at your next renewal date. Nothing is charged or refunded when you request a downgrade, and you keep your current plan's features until the period ends.
If a payment fails, we will retry and email you. If it keeps failing, the account moves to the Free plan and paid features stop. Your records are not deleted.
We may change prices. If we do, we will email existing subscribers at least 30 days before the change applies to them. Founder rates are governed by section 6.
8. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel any time from Settings, in the billing portal.
Cancelling stops the next charge. Your paid features stay available through the end of the period you already paid for, then the account moves to the Free plan. Your records stay with you on the Free plan, subject to the Free plan limits.
Refunds. Except where this section or section 16 says otherwise, payments are earned when made and are not refunded for partial periods. Because you keep access through the end of the period you paid for, cancelling mid-period does not generate a refund.
Annual plans: 30-day money-back guarantee. If you pay for a year and decide within 30 days of that charge that Traders Till is not for you, email hello@traderstill.com and we will refund the full year and move the account to the Free plan. This applies to the first annual charge and to each annual renewal. After day 30, the annual term runs to its end date and is not refunded.
If something went wrong on our end, or you were charged in a way that does not seem right, email hello@traderstill.com and we will sort it out with you case by case.
9. Your data and aggregate statistics
Your operation records belong to you. We do not claim ownership of what you enter, and we do not sell your data.
You can export your records to CSV at any time from Settings.
We may compute aggregated, de-identified statistics across all accounts (for example, typical margins by product category) and publish or use them. These never identify you, your operation, or your buyers.
How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, and the companies that process data for us are listed on the Subprocessors page.
10. Storefront sales and your buyers
If you publish a storefront, you sell directly to your buyers. Traders Till provides the software and, where you connect Stripe, the payment rails. We are not the seller and not a party to the sale.
You are responsible for fulfilling orders, for your own refund and cancellation policy toward your buyers, for the accuracy of your listings, and for any tax you owe on those sales.
You are the controller of your buyers' information. You agree to handle it lawfully and to honor their requests about it.
11. Tools, templates, and calculators
The Service includes calculators, templates, reference material, and similar tools: pricing helpers, label templates, state law summaries, cottage-food sales caps, recipe scaling, tax fields, and accounting reports, among others. These are starting points provided for convenience, not legal or regulatory guarantees.
Laws change, rules vary by state and county, and your situation is specific to you. You are solely responsible for confirming that anything you produce or rely on with these tools complies with the laws that apply to your operation. We do not warrant that any tool output is accurate, complete, current, or compliant.
12. AI features
Some plans include features powered by third-party AI models, such as caption drafting and product ideas. AI output can be wrong, outdated, or misleading. Review everything an AI feature produces before you rely on it or publish it. You are responsible for what you post and for the claims you make about your products.
Text and images you submit to an AI feature are processed by our AI provider, listed on the Subprocessors page, under commercial terms that do not allow it to train models on your submissions.
13. Third-party services
The Service connects to third-party providers, including Stripe for payments and the providers listed on the Subprocessors page. Your use of a connected third-party service is governed by that provider's own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, and linking to one is not an endorsement.
14. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep the Service running and to keep planned downtime short and announced. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service, and we do not offer an uptime guarantee or service credits at this time.
The Service evolves. We may add, change, or retire features. If we retire something material to paid plans, we will give notice by email. Price changes are covered in section 7.
15. Geographic scope
The Service is offered from the United States and is intended for users in the United States. We make no representation that it is appropriate or available elsewhere. If you use it from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for local compliance.
16. Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time from Settings, under Danger zone. What happens to your records afterward is described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, that is used for illegal activity, or that puts the Service or other users at risk. Except where the situation is serious or urgent, we will contact you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we close your account for convenience rather than for cause, we will refund the unused portion of any period you have paid for.
17. Intellectual property
The Service and all of its content, including text, images, graphics, logos, design, and software, are owned by Bright Beans Media, LLC or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The Traders Till name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of Bright Beans Media, LLC.
18. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" with all faults and without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Traders Till and Bright Beans Media, LLC expressly disclaim all warranties, express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, operate without interruption, be error-free, or be free of viruses or other harmful components. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.
19. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Bright Beans Media, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind, including lost profits, lost sales, loss of data, or cost of substitute services, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event shall our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service exceed the greater of one hundred dollars ($100.00) or the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Some states do not allow certain limitations of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you in full; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
20. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bright Beans Media, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, agents, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; (d) any content or information you submit; or (e) any sale you make to a buyer through the Service, including any dispute with that buyer.
21. Class action waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, each party agrees that any claim will be brought only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.
22. Waiver of jury trial
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, each party irrevocably waives any right to a trial by jury in any action, proceeding, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service. Some states do not permit jury trial waivers; in those jurisdictions this provision applies only to the extent permitted by law.
23. Severability, entire agreement, no waiver
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision is limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains in force.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Prohibited Items Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
24. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
25. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the internal laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Los Angeles County, California. You irrevocably consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts and waive any objection to jurisdiction or venue.
26. SMS text messages
Who this section applies to. It applies to anyone who opts in to text messages from Traders Till, including a shopper who opts in at checkout on a Traders Till storefront, whether or not that person has a Traders Till account.
What we send. Traders Till sends transactional text messages about your own order: order and reservation confirmations, payment confirmations, order-ready notices, pickup-window reminders, cancellation notices, and back-in-stock alerts you asked for. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
How you opt in. By ticking the "Text Me Order Updates" box at checkout and giving us your mobile number. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
Message frequency varies based on your order activity. Message and data rates may apply.
Opting out and getting help. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@traderstill.com. You can also reach us at hello@traderstill.com for any question about the messaging program.
We do not share, sell, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number or your SMS or messaging consent information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. How we handle that data is described in the Privacy Policy. Messages are delivered through Twilio acting on our behalf.
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on your carrier and your device.
